2 Danks Street Award for Contemporary Art Criticism
Posted by banyuleblogboard in Arts, Awards/Competitions on August 1, 2013
This is for a Gallery space in Sydney, but there is no reason why people from Banyule and surrounding areas cannot enter it.
This is what the website has to say about it.
1. Objective The 2 Danks Street Award for Contemporary Art Criticism has been established by the permanent galleries of 2 Danks Street Waterloo, in association with Artist Profile Magazine and All for Art: Art For All, to foster new writing on, and extend discussion about, the visual arts. This award is initially being given for writing about exhibitions at galleries in the 2 Danks Street complex. In subsequent years, the intention is to extend the award to exhibitions in other Sydney based commercial or private contemporary art galleries.

It’s been a busy month for me, and finally finishing my Diploma of Visual Arts, I’m of to the Ivanhoe Makers Market. It’s on tomorrow (Saturday 17th November) at the Livingstone Community Centre in Ivanhoe.
I haven’t made many new things, but I have done some more of my new Myki card holders. Here’s mine, well used for over the last month!
Then I’m off to my Graduate exhibition at the SmartArtz gallery. It’s going to be fun to see my sculpture hanging properly in a gallery space. Hope to see you somewhere soon!
